Pre-Meeting Checklist

  • Have you and your attendees closed any applications that will not be shared in the meeting?
  • Do Windows 2000/NT hosts have local administrator rights? (Must have for one time download of WebEx plugin)
  • Is your screen resolution set at 800X600? Or, are all of your attendees on the same screen resolution? Is the attendee’s computer a PC running Win 95/98/NT/2000?
  • Is the attendee’s browser IE 5.0 or 5.5, or Netscape 4.5+? Are their operating systems compatible? (Cannot be foreign language or beta)
  • Will they be using Java Client or Native Client?
  • Is the attendee’s availability bandwidth greater than 56kbps?
  • Is the attendee’s computer at least a Pentium 166 with 32MB of RAM?
  • Is the attendee on a network (including browser settings) that accepts the passage of Java, JavaScript, ActiveX, and Cookies?
  • Browser must not have disk cache set to zero.
  • Have you or the attendee cleared the cache?
  • Have any network issues come up today in our office?
  • If this is your first time using WebEx on this Web connection, click on the Live Web Support link and before you enter your name and support number, click on Test Performance link.
  • Have you and your attendees written down the meeting number and call-in number of your meeting?
