Eight Credit
Unions Purchase Eight Credit Unions have signed license agreements with Mortgage Computer for the use of its mortgage lending software. Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, Fort Wayne, IN, and Detroit Edison Credit Union, Detroit, MI, have each purchased licenses for Mortgage Computer's MC OFFICE Software, which features all the tools to run a complete real estate department. USF Federal Credit Union, Tampa, FL; Taunton Federal Credit Union, Taunton, MA; Montgomery County Teachers Federal Credit Union, Gaithersburg, MD; and Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union, Mankato, MN, have each purchased licenses for the Mortgage Banker and the Loan Servicing packages, which are modules of the MC OFFICE Software. Oakland County Postal Credit Union, Pontiac, MI, and Telephone Workers' Credit Union, Braintree, MA, have each purchased licenses for the Loan Servicing package. David Van Woerkom, Supervisor of the Mortgage Department at Detroit Edison Credit Union, says his credit union chose the MC OFFICE Software because it combines both mortgage origination and servicing. "Prior to MC OFFICE, it took three different systems to do our origination and servicing functions. We wanted a software package that had it all together--sophisticated enough to handle ARM and escrow changes, and more user-friendly with the front office--that's why we chose Mortgage Computer's MC OFFICE Software. Prior to purchasing a license for MC OFFICE, Three Rivers Credit Union was processing loans on a system separate from its member system, which meant a duplication of effort. "We were entering loans twice," says Executive Vice President Jeff Meyer. "MC OFFICE allows us to have one system in place that eliminates duplication and thus boosts productivity."
