Installing ICOBOL
Win 2000&2003 Server
Win 9x/Win XP
Win 2000 Pro

The TCP/IP protocol needs to be installed on the server and workstations prior to ICOBOL installation. On Win 2000&2003 Server, Win XP and Win 2000 Pro you must be logged into the system as administrator to install ICOBOL.

Make sure you use the browse button when you select a directory other than the default. If you type the directory path in manually, it may not be located and you will have to remove and install ICOBOL again. If you are upgrading from a previous version of ICOBOL and your installed version is lower than 2.68, you can install a newer version of ICOBOL (up to 2.68) as an upgrade instead of removing the previous version. If your installed version is older than 2.68, you will have to remove the previous version before installing the new one.

If you are installing on Terminal Services proceed to the following link for Terminal Services instructions:
ftp://ftp.mcoffice.com/misc/mc_on_term_server.rtf

On all workstations, map the network drive from the server \mc directory as the same drive letter on each workstation before installing ICOBOL. (Example: map server c:\mc as M: on the workstation.)
