With EDI-Plus you can:

• Access data from MC OFFICE that would otherwise be unavailable
• Send and retrieve data files with the click of a button
• Electronically communicate with other vendors

Through MTK, data is extracted from the MC OFFICE Software data bases. This data is then passed to the EDI-Plus Data Wizard, where it can be used in:

• Reports
• History Files
• Charts
• Graphs
• Trend Analysis
• Projections

Data exported from EDI-Plus may be imported into any spreadsheet software that accepts comma-delimited or tab-delimited ASCII text files.

Those familiar to the PC and Windows 9x - NT will find the EDI-Plus's design easy to use.

The IRS Reporting tab is used to store the login information used to dial-up the IRP-BBS, the bulletin board used for submitting IRS data electronically. The install program sets the default phone number. If you have never transmitted data electronically to the IRP-BBS, you will need to use the Manual Dial-Up feature of EDI-Plus to establish a First Name, Last Name and Password with the IRP-BBS. In the set up session you will identify your company, by name, TCC Code, Taxpayer Identification, etc. This will be explained in the how to use IRS Reporting section of this manual.

The Report Wizard provides you the power to view or print any stored report. These are reports that have been EDI enabled in the MTK software.

The Graphics Wizard feature is used to produce reports. Output can be printed, saved to a diskette, or saved to a specified directory as a .bmp or .wmf file, or copied to the Windows Clipboard.

RapidApp, an MC OFFICE Software package, is to take the 1003 application on a laptop and transfer the data to the Mortgage Banker package. This option will do this automatically for you.

MORNET Manager is Fannie Mae's PC software for selling and serving loans.

MIDANET is Freddie Mac's PC software for selling and servicing loans.

HMDA in EDI is the Federal Reserve PC software available to computer verify the file prior to submitting your HMDA information.

Desktop Underwriter is Fannie Mae's Automated Underwriting Engine. After a request file is created in Mortgage Banker CREATE REQUEST FILE (01.07.12), EDI-Plus will:
• Retrieve the request file.
• Submit it to Desktop Underwriter.
• Wait for a response to come back from Desktop Underwriter.
• Send the feedback data to the host where this data is printed and uploaded into the Master Record.

EDI-Plus currently interfaces with First American Flood Data Services and TransUnion. As customers request additional interfaces, they will be added as long as the new companies will accept the interface files that are currently defined.

IRS Reporting is to submit the data to the IRS electronically for the required year end reports e.g., 1098 and 1099 from MC OFFICE Software.

When selling loans in a Ginnie Mae pool, the ability to use the GinnieNET software is now available. The Pool Disbursement program (04.13.04.18), generates a file for importing the information to GinnieNET software.

MC's Mortgage Banker package will receive files in this EDI-Plus option from other software for the 1003 Loan Application. The file format is the same used by FNMA's Desktop Underwriter for import or export. Loans will be accepted and assigned a loan number in MC's Mortgage Banker package using RECEIVE 1003 LOAN APP (01.04.09).

HUD requires the billing and response files to be downloaded from their web page. These files are for Loan Servicing Escrow Type 3 Mortgage Insurance premiums.

This option is behavioral scoring model for Fannie Mae, used by Loan Servicing package in REQUEST and RECEIVE (03.13.26.16 - 17).

GinnieMae requires the loan level reporting be sent electronically over their BBS. The Pool Disbursement program (04.13.04.15) generates a file to be sent.

eMagic is a quick and convenient way to send loans to MGIC over the Internet for MGIC Mortgage Insurance and Contract Services. The Mortgage Banker program generates a file to be sent.

MC's Mortgage Banker package will receive files in this EDI-Plus option from Calyx® POINT® for the 1003 Loan Application. Loans will be accepted and assigned a loan number in MC's Mortgage Banker package using RECEIVE 1003 LOAN APP (01.04.09).

This option is used to fax a loan payoff quote from MC's Loan Servicing package (03.11) one at a time as they are requested. The fax software must be loaded on your PC prior to using this option.

EDI-Plus and Management Tool Kit (MTK) are designed to work together. MTK is designed to manage the workflow of your real estate department, which enables reports in three areas:

Here you schedule reports to run on specific days of the week or month. A report can then be printed or displayed that shows what work needs to be done on a specific date or date range.

This allows a specific person or group of people to be notified when a certain report is run. It notifies the necessary people that specific work is being done timely.

This selection is used to pull specific reports for transfer to EDI-Plus. The report data is stored in specified report files. These files are transferred from the MCADATA directory to the EdiPlus\Reports directory on your PC.

The reports can then be viewed or printed, or data from the reports can be transferred to EDI-Plus and used to create charts, graphs, trend analysis, etc.
