File in Use or MBBLOCK Error
Problem
Solution The message FNMADQ FILE IN USE AT TERMINAL XXX or MBLOCK ERROR may occur if a file is in use or not closed properly. When this message is displayed, verify no other operator has the file open. This is done by pressing <SCF4> or <AltF4> from any main menu screen. The screen will display a list of operators signed on to MCOFFICE Software along with a description of the programs they are using. If no operator is in a Master Record or running an update in Mortgage Banker, the error can be cleared by deleting the files MBLOCK.NX and MBLOCK.XD. The files MBLOCK.NX and MBLOCK.XD can be accessed by a call program <SCF1> or <AltF4> and entering SYSCMD. If there is a "$" symbol, the two files can be deleted by entering ls –i mblock*. Respond <Y> to the messages verifying the file with the extension .NX and .XD. If you receive a DOS Utility Menu, delete the two files from the drive on which your mcadata directory is located using the Erase function. Enter the name of the file including the extension .NX and then repeat the process with the extension .XD. If the problem is not corrected, have your in-house systems operator delete the files or contact MC System Support for technical assistance. |
