Question

    How do I send a loan in FNMA Desktop Underwriter file format to another company or software over the Internet?

Answer

After entering the loan in Mortgage Banker, create the Desktop Underwriter Import File through the path (01.06.<FIELD 4>) or (01.07.12.<F4>). Enter through the account number and then select <F4> to proceed.

Log onto EDI-Plus. Select the Desktop Underwriter button. Click on File Transfer to pull the file from MC into EDI. The file (fnmaxxxx.txt) will be placed in C:\Program Files\ EdiPlus\Inbox.

Note: The x stands for a numeral in the file name.

Compose an e-mail to other software. Attach the file and send. Or open the desired Web site, log on and find the Import option. Browse for the file in C:\Program Files\EdiPlus\Inbox and click Open. Then click on Import to import the file into the Web site.
