Loan Servicing Index

Question

I have a loan that is showing in the Loan Servicing Index as removed. This is a new loan and I know it has never been removed.

Answer

If the loan is showing in the Loan Servicing Index (03.01) of active loans as removed under the column labeled INV ACCOUNT, then the loan is not tied to an investor. This can be verified by going into (03.01), <I> for investor, then enter the loan number. There will be nothing listed on the screen for this loan if there is no Investor Record set up. Any transactions posted to a loan that is not linked to an investor will not be included in the cutoff report.

To set the record up, go into (03.23.02). Enter the Loan Servicing account number. Once the account umber is entered, your cursor will go to 1. INVESTOR CODE. Here you will enter the number of the investor to which you want the loan to be tied. The system will ask if you want to add this record; respond <Y>. Enter the investor information.

For a detailed explanation of each field, see the LS Data Base section.

After you enter through the last field, your cursor will go to the bottom of the screen to the FIELD area. You can exit without hitting <F2> to update since the update password was already entered when you began adding the record. The Index will now display the investor number in the area it was showing ** REMOVED ** and any transactions posted will be included in the next cutoff report.
