I was running EDI-Plus and just installed Corel Office 8.0. Now, when I try to run EDI-Plus I get errors in many areas of the program.

I am trying to install EDI-Plus and keep getting an error: Cannot Register PDQCOMM.

Corel Office 8.0 installs a version of PDQCOMM when it is loaded. When this version information is written to the Windows 9x registry, it either removes or changes the entry that MC makes with the EDI-Plus version of PDQCOMM or the entry from Corel does not allow the MC EDI-Plus version of PDQCOMM to write to the registry.

To fix this problem, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS! click on Start then Run and type regedit and press <ENTER>. Press the <F3> key and type in pdqcom and press <ENTER>. When the search finds a pdqcom entry, press the DEL key and answer Y to remove. Continue to press the <F3> key and the DEL key on each find of pdqcom until it says end of registry.

Re-boot your system and then install/re-install EDI-Plus. This does not cause any problem with the functionality or use of Corel Office 8.0 but will resolve the problem with EDI-Plus.
