| Location Code | Location Codes are set up in MC OFFICE Maintenance (09.05) and used in MB loan sales. The Location Code (Field 77) transfers to Loan Servicing Field 35. | |
Benefits of using the Location Code field are: | ||
| 1. | In Mortgage Banker, you may want to sell loans in one location or area and keep loans in other areas, or an investor might only purchase loans in a given area. | |

| 2. | Where the loans are located provides information as to where you should or could build a branch office. | |
| 3. | If there is a flood in the region, you can determine how many loans you are servicing in that area that could be damaged. | |
| 4. | If there was a wild fire in the area, you can determine how many loans in that fire zone might be in danger. | |
| 5. | If a company is considering a strike, you can again determine how many loans in that region might be affected. | |
| 6. | When a collector goes into the field, a listing of delinquent loans can be produced by area. It saves time from "driving all around." | |
| 7. | You can print a listing of all loans in an area when you conduct a property inspection to save time driving all around. | |
