Tips in Y2K Testing Testing MUST be done
in chronological order. No transaction updates will be allowed beyond this date. Some companies use this as a reminder to run the Interest Accrual Payable routine. If you pay interest on escrows, the date will be the first of the next month. If you don't pay interest on escrows, the date is probably set at 12-01-99. The Command Date will need to be moved beyond your System Date at time of testing to allow updates. This can be done in two ways. The first is to run your interest accrual payable on the first of each month as you advance through the testing dates. The second is to go into the path (03.25.09), delete the old Command Date and enter a future date. You must have a Command Date. |
| If you skip running the Interest Accrual Payable or Due for a month, a call program will need to be run to advance the date. If this happens, you will receive the message "ACCRUALS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PROCESSED FOR THIS MONTH." The call program to advance this date without running the actual accrual is protected with a daily password. You will need to call MC Support to adjust the date. |
